Nestled in Sukhumvit Soi 14, The Coach Hotel is a boutique hotel that recently opened its doors. After staying for a night here, I was quite impressed with the service, hospitality, and overall stay.

I would like to share 5 reasons I enjoyed it so much and why you would want to choose it for your next visit to Bangkok or a spontaneous staycation in the city.

It’s a unique boutique hotel

The Coach Hotel brings together a unique level of design and comfort. It resembles a luxury train in every aesthetic aspect of the space. Starting from the lobby, which looks like a ticketing booth to the rooms that bear similarities to coaches of a train. Even the front desk staff are in uniform as if they are a ticket conductor.

The design and aesthetics are on point with the brand.

Everything is in the details at the hotel, however. You have to notice the walls, furniture, and fixtures to truly appreciate the intricacies of the branding. It is all part of the experience.

If you are looking for a unique hotel in Bangkok that is stylish, chic, comfortable, and conveniently located, this is the place for you.

Conveniently located at the heart of Bangkok

Nestled just 200 meters down Sukhumvit soi 14, The Coach Hotel is located incredibly well in the heart of Bangkok. It is surprisingly far enough from all the noise and chaos of the city but also just walking distance to the most popular attractions such as Terminal 21, Soi Cowboy, Sukhumvit 11, Nana Plaza, and more.

It is also a hop away from both the BTS and MRT public transports that take you in every direction of Bangkok. You have easy access to malls and markets as well as nightlife, historic, cultural, and tourist spots.

Comfort meets style

The Coach Hotel features 4 types of rooms or “coaches” that range from 19 sqm to a whopping 47 sqm. Each room boasts beautiful city views and is well-designed, stylish, and extremely comfortable.

The soft beds will make you wish you never want to leave.

The Saloon Coach in particular is the best option if you are looking for a bedroom and a living room space that can be used as an extra sleeping space for small families or groups. There is a TV in both rooms as well.

There are also plenty of great amenities in the room as well such as a rain shower in a spacious bathroom, your typical toiletries, a mini bar, bathrobe, safe, and more.

Enjoy a rooftop urban oasis

Probably the top attraction of the Coach Hotel is the rooftop area, at least for me. Surrounded by panoramic metropolis and park views, the rooftop is certainly a tranquil oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of the city.

Located on the 9th floor of the hotel, the rooftop features a gorgeous infinity pool, a lush green garden, and a fitness center.

It is a perfect space to relax and rejuvenate whether you want to read a book in the garden, take a dip in the pool or sweat out a workout session in the stylish fitness room.

If you are like me, you can even spend some time taking unique pictures around the rooftop area. There are definitely plenty of Instagram-able photo opportunities up here, especially if you have an insta360 camera or a drone.

Has an incredible underground cocktail bar

The Coach Hotel is home to a brand new cocktail bar called the Abandoned Mansion. It is an underground speakeasy, gangster-themed bar with all the vibes of the prohibition era.

Abandoned Mansion has a very classy atmosphere and aesthetics with its interior design, carefully-crafted signature cocktails, unique bar foods, and jazz music.

The signature cocktails in particular are something out of this world in terms of taste, presentation, and even branding. Each one of them is named after gangsters or notorious figures of the era such as John Dillinger, Al Capone, Bonnie and Clyde, and so on.

The hostess will also explain the story behind each of them as well, which really adds to the overall brand experience of this bar.

As far as food goes, the bar offers some really great options from fritters and salads to mains such as burgers and steaks. There is definitely variety here and quite different from the ordinary food you may find at other bars around town.

There is even an elevated cigar room at the back where you can still catch the action, music, and vibes of the bar.

These are my 5 reasons why I loved staycationing at the Coach Hotel in Bangkok.

Let me know what entices you most to visit or stay here.
