Who doesn’t like looking the better version of themselves but when you’re traveling, there’s not a lot of time to spend on doing makeup. Let’s say you have planned an entire half day going on adventure excursions and at night you have a romantic dinner date at a nice restaurant. You’ve basically got a packed schedule and all you have time for is a quick shower to freshen up in between. You can’t be going around reapplying your makeup to give yourself a new look. This is where a transitional day to night makeup routine comes in handy. Here is my easy and quick transitional look, typically worn on beach or adventure trips.
Before I begin, I wash my face, dry it, apply sunscreen, and moisturizer.
1. First step is to apply your favorite BB cream to create a foundation on your skin. I use the beauty blender to give an even and flawless look.
2. Bronzing and highlighting my face for a healthy glow.
3. Next, I add waterproof mascara to highlight the eyes a bit to remove the tired or sleepy look.
4. Apply a soft lip color. For day time, I prefer a soft lip over something bold and loud. At this point, I apply a little setting spray for a long-lasting effect. This will be your day look where it’s not too much but you’re still looking fresh.
5. Here is the point where you transition your look into the night. I added eyeliner for more drama. It’s something you can carry in your bag and apply it wherever you are.
6. Topping it off with a bold-ish lip color will give a vivacious look that required minimal effort.
This transformation routine is ideal for being out all day and coming back to freshen up a bit before heading for a casual dinner and it doesn’t take you more than 10 to 15 minutes.
Now it’s time for me to pack for our trip to Koh Tao.
