The Aliens have landed in Bangkok. Humans are being hunted and the only way to survive is to attend the safety of the Dropzone music festival and party till your dying breath.

Well at least that is how the trailer goes. It almost looks like an independent Sci-Fi film on its own. That is until the end where you find it is a music festival live action trailer.

The Dropzone Music Festival and a Sci-Fi, intergalactic, years-into-the-future themed, 2-day event that will be wow-ing party, music and event fans. If the trailer and the marketing hype is of any indication, it is going to be a blockbuster of an event on May 2-3, 2018.

Artist Lineup / Audiomancers

As far as the artist line up goes, we know a few. I’ve seen the big names like Dash Berlin, Paul Van Dyk and Kaskade before. I’ve also been to festivals where Cosmic Gate, Mark Sixma, Svenvath and Valentino Khan were playing.

So we are quite excited to see new artists and experience a different kind of music festival than what we are used to. We definitely want to see A-trak, Miss K8, UZ and more of the trap artists at the armory but still be able to see the main acts at the core.

Choices will have to be made as to who we will want to see. Especially with a two-day festival where the performers are spread across zones and timings. We’ve seen many complain about their favorite artists clashing with each other on timing.

Festival Layout & Zones

There are 3 music zones at the festival.

The Core – the main stage featuring EDM, trance and more commercial music.

Armory – platform for trap, dubstep and D&B enthusiasts.

Station – a more underground space for hard techno and house fans.

See what we meant by choices. We will probably bounce back and forth between the core and armory but will check out the station too. For you guys.

Other sections advertised are the bazaar, arena, arcade and the recovery bay for some other types of entertainment, activities, food/drinks and relaxation.

Arena –  battle with your friends and other teams in a game of laser tag. Yes, very fitting for the sci-fi theme of the whole event.

Arcade – recreation zone equipped with VR games, 360 degree visual dome and more.

Bazaar – as the name implies this is going to be a section for shopping, eating and drinking. We’re particularly excited to check this out. Perfect to visit this place when your favorite artists aren’t performing.

Recovery Bay – a two day festival can get quite exhausting especially if you are the event all day. They got you covered with daybeds, massages and refreshments.

This is going to be a very interesting and fun event. We are so excited to be part of it. Lots to do and see! Stay tuned for our full experience once this is all over.

There is an app too!

Dropzone even developed their own app, which is available on both the apple store and Google Play. Via the app, you can buy tickets, keep up to date with announcements and even take photos with event-branded stickers.

Tickets are selling fast and come in a range of options with respective perks. They have silver, gold and diamond passes. A 2-day silver pass will set you back just over a $100 while a diamond package is $4753 and comes with 10 passes, private dome at the core, bottle service and other VIP access/services.
