Whether you have been living in Bangkok for years or slow traveling through the city, sometimes you just want to stay in, watch some TV and enjoy some good food. You probably don’t want to order fast food, especially if you’re new here. You want some delicious, authentic cuisines delivered to your doorstep as if you were eating it at any local restaurant.
Now we understand that there is nothing like exploring the city and finding that amazing restaurant whilst taking in the sights, sounds and smell but this is just an option for those who just want to take it easy for that one night.
So what’s available? Well of course so much, we’re not even talking about the fast food joints or stand alone restaurants that deliver. The Bangkok food delivery industry is massive! We’re talking about heavy duty food delivery companies that allow you to order multiple cuisines and restaurants from a single platform.
This guide of amazing food delivery options will set you right.
Some things to consider first:
- You need to create an account for each first
- You will need a valid email address and a local phone number
- Some require credit card while some deliveries have a cash on delivery option
- You need to take in account delivery charges and time based on your location – the websites do a good job at calculating it for you
- They all speak English so language is not an issue
- Since we live in the Wattana (Asoke) district of Bangkok, we are basing the information on that so it might vary from your location
How they work:
- Choose your location
- Search for your restaurant via filters and search functions
- Select the restaurant(s) and food items
- Proceed to checkout
- Fill in last bit of details like delivery location, payment method, etc
- Wait for a call from them or call them yourself with your order
- Enjoy an epic meal at home
