Another pool party has hit the roofs of Bangkok hotels and oh lord, are there so many now. This time it’s the return of splash pool party at the Aloft Hotel. After a long hiatus, the pool party has rebranded and reenergized itself to bring some awesome pumping music, electric vibes, and intoxicating drinks.
So if you’re looking to spend a Saturday afternoon and not be stuck in a club or boring bar, here are some of the reasons you should check out Aloft’s Splash pool party.
Summer-y Drinks
What’s the first reason you go out to pool parties? Yes, music. Yes, the crowds. But first and foremost it is to get LIT. By that I mean, intoxicated.
With Bangkok’s summer, it difficult to imagine getting drunk during the day. That’s why Aloft has curated the perfect summer drinks.
The signature cocktails, in particular, were the highlight of the pool party for me. Aloft Mai Tai and Splash Cooler have a sweet taste while the Guava Mojito and Caipiroska lean more towards the sweet and sour. These four drinks are sure to kick off the party vibes. If you’re not looking to party, they are perfect for sipping and chilling with.
If cocktails aren’t your thing, no worries as they have Singha beer and bottles of liquor available too. For a group of friends who like to drink together, the bottles are your best bet.
Vibes
When I entered, it was a very chilled vibe. People were lying on sofas and day beds with a drink in hand. The music was soft enough for you to make conversation. Some were casually taking a dip in the pool while others were busy checking their Instagram feed.
There were a lot of models though.
As the afternoon continued on, more and more guests starting coming in. The ambiance was getting more electric.
Music
If drinks are what make you come out to party, then the music is what makes you stay. Ok, for some it might be the other way around.
At Splash pool party, the music did not disappoint. It started off with chilled, deep house.
The DJs were two very talented females. They kept vibing with the crowd and changed up the music accordingly. Soon people were on the dance floor and the tempo changed up to a more hard-style house and techno.
I left at sunset, so I can’t say how the event continued after but from the looks of it, the party was just getting started.
